Call to Worship:

This is the day that the Lord has made!

We will rejoice and be glad in it!

Celebrate O Church, our Victorious King!

As we gather we remember His deeds!

Celebrate O Church, our Glorious Lord!

As we gather we bow our hearts!

Celebrate O Church, the Saviour of all!

As we gather we praise His Name!

This is the day that the Lord has made!

We will rejoice and be glad in it!

Prayer & Praise

~ On Sunday, April 15, we as a congregation would like to recognize the end of current cancer treatments for Tenley Falk and Nettie Ginter.  The larger context for our service would center on the faithfulness of God’s ongoing presence with us and a sense of thanksgiving for allowing these families to reach the end of what has been a life changing journey.  It is important to give thanks to God.  After the service, we want to invite the congregation to celebrate around the tables, sharing a noon meal, which will include elements of Tenley’s favorite foods.  We invite your participation.

Reminders of prayer items for this week:

Tim Wiebe continues his regular treatment of chemotherapy.

Harv Thiessen was moved to the Riverview Health Centre for a program of physiotherapy on Thursday, April 5, 2018.  This has been a very positive move for the family.  Your prayers are appreciated.

Austin Penner at Agassiz Youth Center in Portage la Prairie also values our prayer support.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, Jake Rempel, Mary Klassen, and Peter E. Hildebrandt

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico, Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, Andrea Fehr who is home working on VISA requirements before she can head back to Hawai’i, and Tyler Loewen in Cambodia with MCC.

Prayer for the Week:

Creator God, your goodness toward your people is unmatched; your grace toward your enemies unfathomable; your love shown to all is unprecedented. May we reveal the truth of who you are by the reality of who we are as your people. Thank you for bringing us into your family.  Amen.

Inviting women of all ages to the Women’s Sundayschool class’ new video series “Kingdom Woman” starting next Sunday April 15!

This 6 week series (of course we’ve been known to go longer!) is described as follows:

A kingdom woman gives the devil as much reason to fear as a kingdom man. She lives confidently in the knowledge that Christ died and rose for her so that she can experience the significance of the destiny to which she has been called. In Kingdom Woman, Tony Evans and his daughter, Chrystal Evans Hurst, remind women of their calling from God to be free, delivered, healed, and hopeful.

We’re looking forward to the opportunity to again discover more of God together.
