~ Jake & Agatha Falk have agreed to continue serving as Deacons for an additional 3 year term. We are grateful for their willingness to serve in this way and this morning we would like to affirm this decision with an installation service.
~We are grateful to God for hearing us when we pray. So we continue to offer our prayers on behalf of others as well: for Tim & Marlene Wiebe, Tenley Falk, Nettie Ginter and their families, for Austin Penner as he continues in the PASS Program in Winnipeg, and for Dave Rempel as he continues to recover from knee replacement surgery.
– Clubs for Boys and Girls from Grades 3 – 6 is on Wednesdays from 7 – 8:30pm. All are welcome. We will resume January 9, 2019. Thanks to everyone who has signed up for baking cookies for clubs. Thank you to all who have provided leadership for this program. It is greatly appreciated! If there are any questions, feel free to contact Rachelle Loewen 362-8323.
~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Helen Janzen at Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home and Jake Rempel at Donwood Personal Care Home.
~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico, Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, and Tyler Loewen in Cambodia with MCC.
Prayer for the Week:
God of day and night, of frost and sunshine, of rest and growth, we praise You for the rhythms and patterns of life, for the gentle dying of each season and the coming of the next; for the wonder of new life, and the quiet flowing of youth into age. Give us eyes and hearts to perceive You in the unfolding of our years, and help us in this new-born year to make more space for You the Giver of it all. Amen.

~ We would like to invite anyone who is interested in attending Catechism Classes to check with Pastor Rudy. Come and explore what it is we believe and why that is important to us. We would like to begin these classes on Sunday, February 17 during the Sunday school hour.
~ Jake & Ingrid Friesen will be teaching a class beginning on January 20, 2019 – “To already married and soon-to-be married people.
If love, laughter and a great marriage relationship are part of your hopes and expectations, then listen up.
How do you handle conflict?
What’s your money spending personalities?
How do you manage expectations, both stated and unstated?
Do you have someone mentoring you and are you mentoring someone?

These are just a few of the questions we’ll explore in this class, as we set a goal to improve relationships within the marriage relationship and in the church.”

~ On March 6 at 7:00pm at the Winkler Mennonite Church, Pembina Counselling Centre will be hosting its annual Dessert Night Fundraiser.
