Prayer & Praise
~ Andrea Fehr is involved with providing leadership to a group of YWAM participants, who are planning to travel to Uganda. They will be serving with a ministry called “Show Mercy” for a period of two months. This will be a challenging assignment, but one which she is very excited about. She covets our prayers for protection and wisdom. We want to wish her and the team God’s blessings on their travels and ministry.
~ This has been a rollercoaster week for Tenley Falk and her mom Jaime, as well as for the rest of the family. From experiencing much pain, fever, coughing, chills to having these symptoms virtually disappear on to have them reappear again, has made for a very challenging stay in the hospital. At this point, their time in the hospital is indefinite. It can be discouraging to go through such sudden ups and downs. Thank you for your continued prayers on behalf of the entire family. We continue to rely on God’s grace and mercy in our time of need. Updates can be found at: http://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com
~ Alfred Theodor Wieler passed away at home in Morden on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. He grew up in Rosetown and was baptized in this church on May 17, 1959 by Rev. Paul Schaefer.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico, Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i
Prayer for the week:
We confess You to be the God who calls, who wills, who summons, who has clear intentions for Your creation and addresses human agents who do Your will. We know ourselves to be called by You but also cowardly, obedient yet self-indulgent, devoted to You but also otherwise preoccupied. In the midst of this strange mix, we do give You thanks for Your call, and we pray for fresh wisdom, great courage, and a deep desire for connectedness with You as the source of our physical and spiritual life. In the strong name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. 11. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15. And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints.
- Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20.for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
