Prayer & Praise

~ Let us continue to pray for Tenley Falk and her parents, Cody & Jaime, and siblings, Cyrus, Scarlett & Shiloh, as Tenley continues treatments. Our prayers help them even when we may not see or hear of the positives in each day. “The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you, and will say ‘Destroy’. Deuteronomy 33: 27. Updates can be found at:

~ Travis and Ashley Hildebrand appreciate ongoing prayer support for their daughter Skylar and her big sister, Brea. We also pray for healing, strength and a continued focus and trust in God for this family.

~ Let us also remember Allan Friesen and family in our prayers, as well as others who are mourning the loss of someone close to them, whether recent or from years past. May God continue to comfort and sustain us with his presence.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Susan Janzen, Trudy Harms, Helen Fehr, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, Tyler Loewen in Cambodia, Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i, and Janessa Klassen working with School of the Kingdom.

Prayer for the Week:
Creator God, we are thankful for your pursuit of us. Help us to notice the ways you are at work in our lives every day. As we reflect on your beauty and goodness may we be spurred on toward greater thankfulness, and a deeper love for and pursuit of you. Amen.

~ A huge Thank you to Sara Wall and the team working with her, on a successful week of DVBS. Approximately 80 children, along with 29 staff, and 48 prayer partners, were involved. Thank you also to Karla & Garry Fehr and Dave Ginter for planning and serving supper on Monday. In spite of a power outage on Monday, with rain, hail and strong winds and rain again on Thursday, the week was one of learning about Jesus and His love for us. Well done to the crew for all the decorating. A cave it was!

~ If anyone would still like to submit a picture to our church directory there is still time to do so.  The final editing is not yet complete.  We would welcome your addition.  Check with Werner Ens or Ray Peters

~ During the months of July & August, the ministerial is planning to do a series of messages on the Beatitudes. This would coincide with the Sunday school students being asked to memorize this passage from Matthew 5: 1 – 12. We invite the congregation to participate by also memorizing these verses and doing your own study on these most important verses.

~ Come gather to pray during the months of July and August for our southern Manitoba region for about half an hour before the Sunday school hour starting at 8:30am! Let’s take this summer season to seek the Lord in an increased way! We will be interceding for believers and unbelievers that the Lords Kingdom would come and His will be done. This will be held in the ladies Sunday school room (old youth room) in a group setting. All ages are welcome!

~ Do you have a passion for hot dogs and curly fries? School of the Kingdom invites you to a fundraising lunch at the Winkler Park on Sunday, July 10, from 11:30-2:30. Meet staff and
former students; ask questions about the school, and try some of our famous
curly fries. Donation receipts are available. Come out and sow into the Kingdom
of God! We’ll see you there!

Summer Memory Passage

And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.  Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.  Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.  Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.  Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.  Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.  Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.  Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:1-12
