Prayer & Praise

~ We are grateful for the fact that we can approach our God through the avenue of prayer and that no topic or thought or feeling is prohibited. So we continue to pray on behalf of Tenley Falk and her family. In the midst of a very stressful time of fever, low blood counts and siblings experiencing the flu, these are trying times. So we come in prayer to the source of life, of healing, the source of our faith and reassurance and we place ourselves and the lives of those we love into the tender and merciful arms of our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer. Updates can be found at: http://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ We also continue to uphold Skylar Hildebrand and her family with the same convictions of faith and reassurance as they continue to try to sort out treatment options in the midst of uncertainty and disrupted routines.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Susan Janzen, Trudy Harms, Helen Fehr, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, Tyler Loewen in Cambodia, Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i, and Janessa Klassen working with School of the Kingdom.

Prayer for the Week:
(taken from Psalm 63: 1-4)
O God, you are my God, earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you, my body longs for you, in a dry and weary land where there is no water. I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. Amen.

Church

~ Rudy and Kathy Franz will be leaving this afternoon, (Sunday) and traveling to Leamington, Ontario for a chance to reconnect with family and friends. We plan to be back by Monday evening, July 25.

~ The Ministerial has decided that this year on Sunday, August 14, we would give this congregation the opportunity to attend the Winkler Harvest Festival Community worship service at 10 am at the main stage. Thus on that Sunday, there will be no Sunday school or worship service in Rosetown.

~ Garry & Karla Fehr, Rudy & Kathy Franz would like to express their gratefulness for your prayer support while we were attending the Assembly of Mennonite Church Canada last week. Your support in prayer was felt when we discussed and decided upon two main agenda items, namely ‘Being a Faithful Church’ and the ‘Future Directions Task Force Report’. We will say more and give time for follow up discussions regarding the decisions that were made at a later date.

~ If anyone would still like to submit a picture to our church directory there is still time to do so.  The final editing is not yet complete.  We would welcome your addition.  Check with Werner Ens or Ray Peters

~ During the months of July & August, the ministerial is planning to do a series of messages on the Beatitudes. This would coincide with the Sunday school students being asked to memorize this passage from Matthew 5: 1 – 12. We invite the congregation to participate by also memorizing these verses and doing your own study on these most important verses.

~ Come gather to pray during the months of July and August for our southern Manitoba region for about half an hour before the Sunday school hour starting at 8:30am! Let’s take this summer season to seek the Lord in an increased way! We will be interceding for believers and unbelievers that the Lords Kingdom would come and His will be done. This will be held in the ladies Sunday school room (old youth room) in a group setting. All ages are welcome!

Summer Memory Passage

And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him.  Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.  Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.  Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.  Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.  Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.  Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.  Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God.  Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.  Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake.  Rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:1-12
