Prayer & Praise
~ This week marks the arrival of DVBS at the Blumenort Church. We are grateful for the many who are involved during this week, including those who did the planning, those who are teachers, helpers, music directors, skit performers, cookie bakers, and those who pray. We begin on Monday, July 3 at 5:30 pm with a community barbeque. Ages 3 – Grade 8 are welcome. We look forward to a busy week of interaction and learning about the God who created all things and who wants a relationship with each and every one of us.
~ We want to continue to offer our prayer support for Nettie Ginter and her family as they navigate the pathway of a treatment plan outlined to deal with the presence of cancer. We also continue to support Tenley Falk and her family as they also deal with the maintenance phase of treatment. Updates can be found at htttp://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com
~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.
~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, and Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i
Prayer for the Week:
Lord, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known and from Whom no secret is hidden, we ask You so to cleanse the intentions of our hearts by the unutterable gift of Your grace, so that we may perfectly love You and worthily magnify Your name. Amen.

~ This Sunday we would like to begin our summer series on the Psalms. Today our focus will be on Psalm 1. Each week the speaker will choose a Psalm as their focus. We encourage the congregation to memorize the familiar words of Psalm 23.
~ Chris and Louise Friesen and their family from Saskatoon, are coming to Manitoba to present fundraising concerts, one of which will be in the Blumenort Church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 7 pm. We are invited to come and hear their family of talented musicians perform a variety of musical selections. They will also be participating in our worship service on Sunday, July 16. We look forward to their ministry of music.
~ During VBS kids will discover that the God who created everything there is—the knowable and the unknowable, the visible and the invisible—wants a relationship with them! Be sure to mark your calendars for July 3-7, 6:30-8:45 pm. Ages 3-grade 8 welcome
From the library:
When taking out books and materials from the library please leave the sign out card with your name on the desk. With summer it happens that there may not always be an attendant there.
This way we know which books are out.
The book 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman has been missing for several months and we don’t have the card to know who has it.
Please return it if you have it.
Materials are due back in the library after 3 weeks, please help us keep our books here.

A Psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters,
3 He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6 Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
