Verse of the Week:

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.  He does not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom.  He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.  Isaiah 40: 28-29

Prayer & Praise

~ The Surgery date for Nettie Ginter is set for either August 3 or 4 at Boundary Trails Health Center. In preparation for this we would like to spend some time in prayer for her and the family during this morning’s worship service.

~ We also continue to pray and trust in God’s provisions for Tenley Falk and her family.  We are also grateful for a more relaxed schedule during these summer months.  Updates can be found at: htttp://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ Tim Wiebe is still waiting to find out what the results of the biopsy will reveal.  Waiting is often difficult and we trust that this in between time will be filled with a renewed sense of God’s presence and peace.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM,  and Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i

Prayer for the Week:

Lord, as the keeper of our very lives, You have searched us and know us; You know when we sit down and when we rise up’ You discern our thoughts long before we think them.  You know our journeys and the places where we rest;  You are acquainted with all our ways.  You are behind us and before us, You have laid Your hand upon us.  Thank you for Your care and concern, Your compassion for each one of us.  Thank You that You guard and keep us always.   Amen

Psalm 121

A song of ascents

  1. I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from?
  2. My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
  3. He will not let your foot slip – He who watches over you will not slumber;
  4. Indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
  5. The Lord watches over you – the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
  6. The sun will not harm you by day, not the moon by night.
  7. The Lord will keep you from all harm – He will watch over your life;
  8. The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
