~ Special welcome to Benito Hernandez, who comes to us from Mexico. We are so grateful that you have been able to come to Canada and that you are able to be in our midst this morning. Thank you also for your willingness to share of yourself and God’s work with us. Benito has been a student where Ryan Thiessen is working in San Carlos. He is a pastor and hopes to establish a drug rehabilitation centre in Mexico. We want to wish you God’s blessings in your continued ministry.
~ We are grateful that Tenley Falk has been able to have her blood transfusion which increases the likelihood of being able to begin the next phase of treatments. We are also thankful for how God is able to provide timely resources of people and provisions. Let us continue to trust our God and to pray to the One who holds all of us in the palm of His hand. Updates can be found at: http://www.tenleysjourney.
~ Skylar Hildebrand has some important appointments coming up in early August. We trust that these will provide more insights into the extent of her health concerns and possible treatment options. Together with Skylar’s family we will continue to trust our God and pray for one another.
~ Friday, August 5 is the day we have committed to on a monthly basis to enter into a 24 hour prayer vigil for Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda. Our prayers matter to God, to us, and to those for whom we pray.
~ Let us also remember Allan Friesen and family in our prayers, as well as others who are mourning the loss of someone close to them, whether recent or from years past. May God continue to comfort and sustain us with His presence.
~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Susan Janzen, Trudy Harms, Helen Fehr, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

Summer Memory Passage
“And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth. Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God. Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” Matthew 5:1-12
