Prayer & Praise

~ We are grateful for a very busy week of DVBS these past days.  Thank you so much to Sara Wall for co-ordinating this event.  Thank you to the many leaders who gave of their time, energy, and demonstrated their love for Jesus and the children in so many tangible ways.  We trust that the seeds of God’s love will have been planted and will continue to grow.

~ The funeral for Helene Klassen (nee Hildebrandt) of Cartwright was held on Saturday, July 8.  She is the sister of Peter E Hildebrandt & Eva Schellenberg and the aunt of Ed & Joyce, Rick & Dorothy and Sandra Klassen.  May the Lord of all be near to you in your time of sorrow, and may you find comfort in His arms.

~ On Tuesday, July 18, Nettie Ginter has an appointment with the doctor at which time she is hoping they will set a date for her surgery.  She and the family value our ongoing prayer support and words of encouragement.

~ It has been heartening to hear that Tenley Falk was able to participate in the schools year end activities, and along with her family is looking forward to a different pace of life during the summer holidays.  We want to wish you God’s continued protection and health. Updates can be found at: htttp://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ We are grateful for the beautiful weather on Saturday during the Tractor Trek which took place in support of the Eden Foundation.  Thank you to Armin Ens and many other volunteers who continue to give of their time and energy to support this worthwhile organization.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM,  and Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i

Prayer for the Week:

O Keeper of Faith, help us to keep the faith entrusted to us; faith in a world worth saving, faith in a dream worth sharing, faith in a heritage worth keeping.  Help us to keep faith in You, and help us not to lose faith in ourselves, for faith is the substance of our hope, and hope is the assurance of love.  Praise to You, O Faithful One.  Amen.

Announcements:

~ Audio services and bulletins are now available at our CHURCH website.  We are working at streamlining this, and keeping it current.  Please be patient with us as we continue to update our web presence.  Go to: http:.//www.blumenortchurch.com to see what’s new online.

~ Chris and Louise Friesen and their family from Saskatoon, are coming to Manitoba to present fundraising concerts, one of which will be in the Blumenort Church on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 7 pm.  We are invited to come and hear their family of talented musicians perform a variety of musical selections.  They will also be participating in our worship service on Sunday, July 16.  We look forward to their ministry of music.

From the library:
When taking out books and materials from the library please leave the sign out card with your name on the desk. With summer it happens that there may not always be an attendant there.
This way we know which books are out.

The book 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman has been missing for several months and we don’t have the card to know who has it.
Please return it if you have it.

Youth

~ Go to http://bmcyouth.blogspot.ca for updates on youth events.  Check out the pages on Facebook named “BMC youth for senior highs” and “BMC Jr Youth for the junior highs”

~ Thank you to Ravae McDonald, Eric & Jessica Giesbrecht for their help with the Senior Youth this past winter.  Thank you also to Kaitlyn Rempel, Kim Ginter and Silas Bergen for their help with the Junior youth this past year.
