Verse of the Week:

Then children were brought to Him that He might lay His hands on them and pray.  The disciples rebuked the people but Jesus said, ”Let the children come to Me and do not hinder them; for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”  Matthew 19: 13-14

Prayer & Praise

~ This morning we have parents who are willing to participate in a parent-child dedication service.  We rejoice with you in the birth of these children who have been entrusted to your care.  We trust that God will provide wisdom, energy and guidance as you embrace your role as parents.  Those involved in today’s service include: Fred & Rachelle Loewen with their son, Jackson Blake, Justin & Karissa Falk with their son, Nixon Jay, Carey & Jenn Dyck with their son, Braxton Cole, and Jacy & Carmen Friesen with their daughter, Finnley Snow.

~ At this time of year we also want to acknowledge those who have completed course studies and are graduating from various schools and universities.   Please see the list at the end of the bulletin.  Congratulations on your achievements!  May your God given gifts, continue to be used in service to the One who has enabled us to study and learn and give glory to His name.

~ Let us continue to offer our prayer support for Tenley Falk and her family.  May these next months of summer holidays allow some time for family experiences and connections outside of the school schedule.  Updates can be found at htttp://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ Thank you for your generous support of the Sunday school giving project for the month of May.  Together, we raised $997.03 for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank!

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM,  and Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i

Prayer for the Week:

~ Prayer for the Week:  Our heavenly Father, we thank you for our children whom we accept as a sacred trust, to nurture, to love, to counsel, to teach, to train, to show.  In all of this we ask for your spirit’s strength and wisdom.  May these children one day receive Jesus as Saviour and Lord.  We surrender our children to You, to be kept by Your power, to be used in Your service and finally to be received into Your presence.  In the strong name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Church Calendar

July 2 – Pastor Rudy – Psalm 1

July 9 – Walter Dyck – Psalm 23

Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk   through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
