Prayer & Praise

-A Special thank you to the Praise and Worship Team from Steinbach Bible College.  We appreciate your willingness to participate with us in our worship service.  May your lives continue to be impacted by worship and may you sense God’s continued guidance and presence in your studies and ministry.

~ Congratulations and God’s blessings to Felix & Heidi Houle, on the birth of a son, Ryder Felix, on Tuesday, February 27, 2018.  We trust that God’s wisdom and faithfulness will be felt as you embrace the responsibility of parenting that God has entrusted to you.  Ryder is another grandson for James and Jackie Penner and a great grandson for Zelma Fehr.

~ Prayer items to keep in mind this week include:

~ Thankfulness for the gift of life given to us by a gracious and loving God.  This gift also extends to the opportunity for eternal life lived in the presence of God and all of God’s great community of faith.

– Nettie Ginter has reached the midway point of her radiation treatments.

Tenley Falk is approaching the completion of her maintenance schedule of treatments.  Readjustments of medications have made for some difficult days, at the same time it is heartening to know that some of the routine treatments are coming to an end.

Tim Wiebe as he continues to monitor the results of his treatments

Harv Thiessen was able to open his eyes and respond to spoken words on Thursday.  He is slowly making some progress.  The family appreciates all the prayers.  God is indeed a miracle worker!

Alfred (Fred) Ens had an MRI this week that was inconclusive in results.  Doctors are telling the family that he has a blockage in his liver and his kidneys also appear to be failing.  For now they wish to keep him comfortable.  This news is sudden and serious.  We continue to pray for God’s mercy and guidance.  Fred is at Boundary Trails Health Centre.

Austin Penner continues his stay at the Agassiz Youth Center in Portage la Prairie, and values our prayer support.

We bring to God the cares and concerns of these people and their families, trusting the Great Physician for all of our continued well-being and healing.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, Jake Rempel, Mary Klassen, and Peter E. Hildebrandt

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico, Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, and Tyler Loewen in Cambodia with MCC.

Prayer for the Week:

In darkness and in light, in trouble and in joy, help us, heavenly Father, to trust Your love, to serve Your purpose and to praise Your name through Jesus the Christ our Lord.  Amen
