Prayer & Praise

~ We are saddened to hear that Rose Swift, the mother of Yvonne Giesbrecht passed away in the early hours of Thursday, October 19.  Her funeral will take place on Monday, October 23 @ 10:30am at Wiebe Funeral Chapel in Winkler.  We pray that you as a family will find comfort from Jesus the Good Shepherd, during your time of need.  We offer you our prayers of support and encouragement

~ Austin Penner continues his stay at the Agassiz Youth Center in Portage la Prairie.  He would value our prayers on his behalf and he would appreciate letters of encouragement.  The best way to facilitate these letters would be to give them to Linda Penner and she would deliver them to the Center.  Also if anyone would be interested in going to see Austin, we do have visitor application forms that need to be filled out and approved prior to any visitation.   Please check with either Gerry or Rudy.

~ Perseverance or steadfastness is often referred to in connection with prayer in the Scriptures.  Let us not forget to offer our prayers on behalf of those who struggle with health issues.  Tim Wiebe, Nettie Ginter, and Tenley Falk are those whom we specifically remember.  Updates for Tenley can be found at: www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.  We also want to remember Mary Klassen, who has been transferred to Rock Lake Personal Care Home in Pilot Mound, and Peter E Hildebrandt (at home) who are dealing with health issues.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM,  and Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i

Prayer for the Week:

Lord, we recognize the reality of Your Kingdom within and among us.  Continue to shape the Landscape of our lives after Your Will and Your Way.  In the strong name of Jesus, we pray.

Amen.
