~ There were funerals this past week for two of our members who were in Personal Care Homes. On Tuesday, October 23, 2018, Lena Rempel, from Riverview Health Centre and on Friday, October 26, 2018 Trudy Harms, from Eastview Place in Altona were both laid to rest. We trust that their families will continue to find comfort in God’s presence with them. Also may the hope of the resurrection continue to sustain all of us in our journey of faith.
~ Let us uphold Dave Rempel in our prayers as he goes in for his second knee replacement surgery on Friday, November 2, 2018.

Living God, source of Light and Life, we come to You as broken members of Your Body; Your strength is our strength, Your Health is our health, and Your Being is our being. Grant us Your wisdom in our work, Your Love in our pain and Your Peace in our hearts. Send Your blessing on all those who care for the sick, and those whom they serve, and give us the joy of everlasting love. In the name of Jesus, Your Son, we pray, Amen.

We would ask you to let young adults in your congregations know about an amazing bursary/scholarship that is available through Columbia Bible College CBC) in Abbotsford, BC and Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) in Winnipeg, MB. A donor has generously provided funding for full tuition assistance, when a student studying in church ministry related fields, serves with MDS for 8 weeks. It’s an amazing opportunity.
