For the Word of God is alive and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

Prayer & Praise

~ Welcome to our annual Promotion Sunday Worship Service.  A special welcome to our speaker, Peter G Dyck, from Boissevain, grandfather to Walter & Marilyn and Dave & Erica’s children.  Thank you to our superintendents, Marilyn Dyck & Ingrid Friesen for planning this service.  Thank you to our Sunday school teachers for your continued dedication and commitment to teaching God’s word and living by example.

~ We as a congregation have been blessed with the birth of new life in our midst.  On Wednesday, August 22, Sara Gerling welcomed a son, Ethan David, into the family.  He is a brother for Jack Christian.  Then on Tuesday, September 4, Justin & Karissa Falk, welcomed a daughter, Blakely Ryan, into their family.  She is a sister for Presley & Nixon and another granddaughter for Ken & Eleanor Fehr.  Also on Tuesday, September 4, Eric & Jessica Giesbrecht, welcomed their first child, a son, James Torin, into their family.  Grandparents are Joe & Janet Giesbrecht.  We as a congregation want to wish you God’s blessings as you commit yourselves to the journey of being godly parents to those whom God has entrusted to your care.

~ It’s that time of year again! Clubs is right around the corner. Once again we are looking for leaders. We plan to start in November. Clubs is not a big commitment since it’s only every Wednesday. Teaching materials will be provided. Feel free to contact Rachelle Loewen @ 362-8323 if you have any questions or would like to be a leader

Reminders of prayer items for this week:

~ Continue in prayer for Tenley Falk and family, and Nettie Ginter and family, Tim Wiebe and family as they continue to deal with the after effects of treatments and regular checkups.

~ Margaret Klassen, who continues to recover from her injuries and is grateful for being able to feel much better.

~ Kelly Fehr is also grateful for an easing of the pain she has experienced.  She is currently able to be at home. The doctors still have not found the source of what has been causing all the discomfort.

Harv Thiessen as he continues to recover at home, and Austin Penner, as he continues to transition back to the community.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, Jake Rempel, and Helen Rempel in Riverview Health Center

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico, Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM, Andrea Fehr in Hawai’i, and Tyler Loewen in Cambodia with MCC.

Prayer for the Week:
