~ This week marks the arrival of DVBS at the Blumenort Church.  We are grateful for the many who are involved during this week, including those who did the planning, those who are teachers, helpers, music directors, skit performers, cookie bakers, and those who pray.  We begin on Monday, July 3 at 5:30 pm with a community barbeque.  Ages 3 – Grade 8 are welcome.  We look forward to a busy week of interaction and learning about the God who created all things and who wants a relationship with each and every one of us.

~ We want to continue to offer our prayer support for Nettie Ginter and her family as they navigate the pathway of a treatment plan outlined to deal with the presence of cancer.  We also continue to  support Tenley Falk and her family as they also deal with the maintenance phase of treatment.  Updates can be found at htttp://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.

From the library:
When taking out books and materials from the library please leave the sign out card with your name on the desk. With summer it happens that there may not always be an attendant there.
This way we know which books are out.

The book 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman has been missing for several months and we don’t have the card to know who has it.
Please return it if you have it.

Materials are due back in the library after 3 weeks, please help us keep our books here.
Thank you.

Psalm 23

A Psalm of David.

The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not be in want.

He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters,
He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk   through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff,
they comfort me.

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.

You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Surely Your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life,

and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Pentecost Sunday

June 4, 2017

Verse of the week:

When the day of Pentecost had come, they were all together in one place.  And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting.  And there appeared to them tongues as of fire distributed and resting on each one of them.  And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.  Acts 2: 1-4
