Prayer & Praise

~ Congratulations and God’s blessings to Cody Loewen & Jozanna Rempel, who were married on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at Waterton Lakes National Park.  We trust you will experience much joy as you live out your commitment to one another.  May God be your guide and wisdom on this journey.

~ We continue to offer our prayers of support and encouragement for those in our midst who are dealing with health related issues: Tim Wiebe, Nettie Ginter, Tenley Falk, for Yvonne Giesbrecht’s mother, Rose Swift.  May you continue to know our Lord as the Good Shepherd of all our lives, no matter what we may encounter on our journey of faith.  Updates for Tenley can be found at: htttp://www.tenleysjourney.wordpress.com

~ Austin Penner continues his stay at the Agassiz Youth Center in Portage la Prairie.  He would value our prayers on his behalf and he would appreciate letters of encouragement.  The best way to facilitate these letters would be to give them to Linda Penner and she would deliver them to the Center.  Also if anyone would be interested, in going to see Austin, we do have visitor application forms that need to be filled out and approved prior to any visitation.   Please check with either Gerry or Rudy.

~ Those in various care homes that we remember in our prayers include: Trudy Harms, Helen Janzen, and Jake Rempel.  We also want to remember Mary Klassen, who has been transferred to a health care facility in Pilot Mound, and Peter E Hildebrandt (at home) who are dealing with health issues.

~We continue to offer our prayer support for Laure and her family, as well as for the Paroisse Missionaire Congregation in Kinshasa, DR Congo; Ryan Thiessen in San Carlos, Mexico; Murray and Carol Honsberger in Papua New Guinea, Eagles Wings Children’s Village in Uganda, Jon & Natalie Neudorf in Chiang Mai, Thailand working with YWAM,  and Andrea Fehr with YWAM in Hawai’i

Prayer for the Week:

O God, stand by me against all the world’s wisdom and reason. Not mine, but Yours is the cause.  I would prefer to have peaceful days and to be out of this turmoil. But Yours, O Lord, is this cause; it is righteous and eternal.  Stand by me, O God, in the name of Your dear Son, Jesus the Christ, who shall be my Defence and Shelter, my Mighty Fortress, through the might and strength of Your Holy Spirit.  God help me.  Amen.
